The Fin App presents an innovative solution for surfboard and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals. This application serves as a digital key, facilitating the unlocking of paddle boards while simultaneously tracking the rental duration.

Paddle boards are conveniently located on designated Fin trailers, which can be identified using the map feature within the app. To initiate the rental process, users must create an account and register a credit card for payment purposes. Upon locating a trailer that has available boards, users can simply select the desired trailer and begin the rental process.

Each paddle board is secured with a Bluetooth padlock. Once users enter the rental initiation section of the app, it automatically connects to all available padlocks. Users can then choose which boards they wish to unlock directly from the start rental interface.

To conclude the rental, users must return the board to its original location, secure it with the padlock, and select the corresponding trailer icon to end their rental session. It is advisable to take a photograph of both the locked board and padlock for record-keeping. The rental fee will be calculated based on the duration of use and will be automatically charged to the registered credit card. A receipt will subsequently be generated and sent to the email address associated with the account.
